Mac Miller | My Favorite Part
Lets cue this ~feel good song~ because we just got our wedding photos back!!
On April 20th, we had some of our closest friends and family around us, incredible weather, a beautiful four string quartet, lovely flowers done by A&L, & one badass, amazing photographer, Lily Hayes.
Here are a few of our favorite moments, our vows, and photos below. ☺
We chose Latch by Sam Smith played by the European Ensemble for me to walk down the aisle to.
Arya, Michael’s niece, was our flower girl, but she needed some assistance from Uncle Cody! 😋 This was so stinkin’ cute!
While this day was so very special to us, hands down one of our most special moments was having Michael’s dad, Nick Harmon, officiate our wedding. There aren’t enough words to express how amazing it was to have him up there with us. We also decided to write our own vows… well I did and Michael basically free-styled his! It was impressive. 💕
Three years ago, I was at a coffee shop when a stranger offered me a seat at his table. I hesitantly agreed, only because there was a really cute dog with him… and also my friend kind of made me. What I didn’t realize was taking a chance to sit with a stranger led to meeting the love of my life.
I met the love of my life, my best friend, and my biggest supporter in you, Boots.
I used to think that we met by chance but now I know without a doubt that the universe put you in front of me because we were meant to spend our lives together.
As we continue to grow our lives together, I promise to always show how much I love you, to celebrate your triumphs and encourage your dreams, to care for you and our families for as long as we live, to adventure with you always, and to remember, that when difficult times come up, we will always find our way back to each other.
Today and every single day here after,
I choose you, boots.
This moment during the ceremony was so. incredibly. special. During the ceremony, Nick inserted a couple of minutes for us to pause and take in the moment as the four string quartet played Somewhere In Time by John Barry, Nick and Kimberly’s song that was played for their ceremony years ago. There was so much love under this freakin’ gazebo, we could barely take it!
Our families!! 😍 The night before our wedding, my mom hosted a huge family dinner at our family restaurant and it really allowed everyone to meet for the first time and get to know each other. Our hearts were overflowing seeing everyone together toasting drinks, laughing, and eating good food.
Stephanie, my beautiful maid of honor. 💕
Mariah & Ari, two of my amazing bridesmaids.
Some of our close friends. 💕
For personal reasons, we decided to have a private ceremony with about 35 of our closest friends and family. However, we are still planning a reception in November because we still want to celebrate with everyone else that we love so much in our lives.
